    Sekou is the best!
This podcast is singlehandedly what keeps me engaged with the NBA- Sekou is such thoughtful host and his guests, especially of the industry writer, local reporter and analyst variety, really allow you to pop the hood on the amazing game that is basketball. What might happen if such-and-such roster gets shaken up? What are the budgetary factors that owners and coaches juggle? What's the atmosphere in a certain stadium like as of late? How do the players a player is surrounded with effect him? What players make a big impact for their team off the court? Which players won't ever be on a highlight reel but do thankless tasks exceptionally well? Raw substance here, nobody trying to be an in-your-face personality to get their big break or anything like that. Sometimes there's something to be desired of the audio quality but I'll take substance over style any day. Keep it going!

    How?
I’m guessing this is a bat kid situation, and the dude hosting this is actually ten and dying of cancer. That is the only explanation as to why the NBA would make this show, or let some random fan host it. Very bizarre.

    NBA
This show is awesome. But a basketball podcast needs to be more than once a week so much changes day to day especially in the finals. And if they keep this over the starters I’ll never listen again.

    Shuman owns the stats game.
Love how Shuman breaks down games via stats. Sekou is great as well.

    Best I’ve found hands down
I’ve listen to a lot of basketball shows and for me this is the best by. A big margin. The hosts and guests are knowledgeable without being dry Fun to listen to without resorting to gimmicks. I’m old school but not that old, if that’s you too, check it out

Covers all the highlights and trends in the NBA
One of my favorite sports podcasts. It keeps me up to date on doings in the NBA. I’m a Blazers fan and listen to the “Rip City Report,” but it’s through Sekou and Schou that I can get info on the rest of the league. There’s great chemistry between the two and they have informative guests from the media around the country. And it’s hard to top Schou’s challenging trivia questions.

    Don’t bother
Advertises show on far more capable and interesting podcasts. The drop off if jarring...

    It’s good
They definitely have some good content...the audio is subpar and they just don’t deliver it in the best way...I personally only listen to it when I’m caught up on The Starters and The Jump.

    Highest praise of respect
I understand these last few seasons have to have been quite hard analyzing without stepping on toes, undermining teams, players ect given the er, um awkwardness GS aka Silicon Valley has thrown an undesirable wrench and probably fair to say an underserving team achieve what they have with some of the "loop holes" and advantages taken from them. I want Sekou, GA, and very much John to know how much respect and admiration I have had over the years listening to all of your insights, all of your knowledge, and while It's been a little confusing to understand all the new sound codes and word of mouth; you all have never taken the shots on GS the way many others are. I'm sure it's coming day one this summer, but the peak professionalism shown by you all when you've had many a times to pile on and refused; speaks volumes. (Sekou the staggering of occurrence that was about to happen to the low-cals was quite hilarious) and it cracked Me up but also was absolutely correct and you said In a way we must try and practice to the absolute best of each and everyday joys and struggles that we all face daily; with a smile on our faces. And a joking manner in which To Me, It certainly didn't cross line and you all are true role models. I don't know if I'm supposed to feel guilty finding enjoyment in watching this warriors team over the years; I understand there are complications, there is an Uneasy amount of awkwardness; but yet to me, watching the games were inspiring. It really was a 2-3 hr event weekly they helped me Focus off some negatives in life and on the flip side, be able to respect the ball movement and passes a game; to respect the "appearance" of a competitive instinct and a nature of pride that the team seems to feel; Er, fantasy, or not. To me; it was high level ball being played and I think when the last of this plays out, they are probably lucky to have a .500 average next year, Aaaaaaand Looney & Bell have played so well that they probably can't sign both.. or either. These years carried me and helped rekindle my personal love of the game and also it has made me appreciate Lebron probably more than anything. And it's just a great reminder he's always three steps Ahead, and I hope he doesn't single handedly burn down the Warriors organization.. but if he does he does. Mostly good memories between the teams as rivalries as well, also, correct? Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having fun, joking around, being awesome and getting to hear you're intellectual insights, all in the classiest of ways that never break a player, team down. You all are role models, and I would just like to shout you all out bringing so much to the table that my only wish would be to catch you fellas at a game sometime and jump in head first in learning from you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Forever thankful, Seth Barker PS. The only thing I would like to add is before every one in the free world starts to take their shots at the Dubs, their management, their umm green room activities... I would just like to say that in my opinion it is never right to bash a team that has helped feed many.. that over a 4 year span their was a lot of $ made for a lot of ppl. So my only opinion is this: if you benfitted from it, or from the team, ect, I'm not quite sure how fair that is. Sure question their rotations, their ahh, advantages, the roads they went down that were already paved way for them to face maybe lesser resistance; I understand all of that is fair criticism, and the way it's being drug out now and reaching a boiling point( sadly Simmons pod) when ppl are throwing haymakers at them from now until God only knows, I will not be partaking, not only because I respect the game and competitive nature I think helped the league out tremendously (I believe this is the highest ratings have ever been almost surpassing the NFL); but I am not one to disrespect, lash out, whine, mope, about a professional team, that simply put has helped put food on my table. Thank you all once again, and God Bless.

    Just great.
Fantastic podcast if you are into the NBA. Great insight from a revolving cast of players, coaches and journalists, plus the host, the knowledgeable and genial Sekou Smith. Highly recommend as a fun and interesting listen every time. The Kareem Abdul-Jabbar episode is a highlight for sure.

    Great Podcast
I thought that intro was funny at first listen. After a year it's become the prelude to great insight and a great cast of gusts. Hip, funny, never boring. Thanks fellas!

    Keep It Fresh
Lang said it best before he departed. This podcast is the best and has been since it began. Lots of opinions but the guys never lowball a player. Keep it fresh ; Sekou, Greg and Schu'!!! Suggestion, and annual HT Roundtable of podcast members during the Summer League....
  • Wbee👅🐶🐶🐶
You probably should know what your saying before you say it.
Greg, you’re comments about Donavan Mitchell’s rookie season are inaccurate. He struggled for his first 7 games, not half the season. I think that before you open your mouth you should look into such things. Since the 8th game of the season he has been quite consistent, averaging 21 points per game since that point. He is very deserving of a chance at rookie of the year!
  • Nickytreehorn
    Very Good NBA pod
Been listening for about a year now. Caught the end of the Lang Whitaker era, which I'll agree with reviewers above was not exceptional. But I always continued to listen because I really enjoy Sekou. He talks like a real fan not some holier than thou pundit (cough Dunc'd On pod). So when they brought Greg Anthony in this season I was very excited. The show is really good and IMO the best NBA pod out there.
  • DuckinNDodgin
    Great show.
Sekou & Greg Anthony made a great team. Sekou runs the point smoothly & GA’s player experience is excellent. They have very knowledgeable guests & they top it off with Schuhmann’s stats. You gotta check it out!!
  • Julestown23
    Boring. Slow talk.
Let's face it. We love podcasts for the banter and inside jokes. These guys have the worst banter and inside jokes. Pretty much if they're laughing, you're not laughing at all. And they're NBA analysis is mediocre.
  • dharmark
    The best
Lang, Sekou, and Schu are the goddamn best.
  • Aaron Fischman
Down-to-Earth Hosts Bring the Knowledge, Humor
These guys bring on some of the best guests around (like Grant Hill to talk about Jabari Parker’s second ACL tear and the road ahead, to use a recent example), but what impresses me much more is the way Sekou and Lang conduct their interviews and converse with each other. Not only can you tell they’re legitimately very good friends, but they also showcase a down-to-earth, easy rapport with the players and other guests who appear. Oh…and I know AD is amazing and the ASG was in NOLA, but guess which podcast first revealed he was gunning for the ASG MVP…this one, of course. - AF

    No Rick Fox- No Show
Used to be one of my favorites, (as far as NBA podcasts go) now I know that had everything to do with Rick Fox. This show without Rick is barely serviceable. I'll still listen from time to time but each time by the time the show ends, I'm left asking myself why I listened knowing Fox wasn't going to be on. Seeing that this is a Turner/NBA owned podcast they certainly could do FAR better with the resources available (see The Starters.)
  • Clen12345
    Podcast is ok...
However, when you are feeling down, just play this podcast at half speed. Host Lang Whitaker sounds like the drunkest moron you have ever heard and it's good for a guaranteed laugh every time. ;)

    Keep it going
Ive been watching this podcast since the 43 episode way back when i was in high school outside the USA. Since then its always been a way to listen to updates of the NBA and also insight with the players and coaches that would guest on the show. I miss having Rick Fox though he provides the extra element as a retired amazing player. He knows how the league works and how it compares to the past when he played with the Lakers. Overall though the new beat is pretty cool too. Great content and great way to just relax and listen to great discussion.

    Lots to like
Sekou and Lang are quickly becoming my favorite NBA podcast duo. Great guests and discussion. Must listen if you're a hoops fan
  • MFFLbro
    Is what it is
Sekou pauses lengthily mid sentence like your senile granpa but he has a grasp. Lang is so subtly cool and Rick Fox is the star diva. I enjoy this show and surprisingly, as a laker hater, I like Rick the most. BTW no, I'm not after dark.

    Real Hoops!
Finally a hoops Pod that isn’t a bunch of idiots! Cant wait for the TV show.

    Great podcast
The views expressed are very unbiased and the analysis is well researched. I love Sekou and Lang and Rick always cracks me up. Release more podcasts! I always look forward to it!

    Pretty good.
Some really good episodes and some awkward ones. It feels like they are being forced to talk to each other.

    Horrible
This is the least informative and intelligent conversation on nba ongoings I've heard. I've heard the last 5 podcasts and they are all awful. Someone tell rick fox that his name of idea of PRODcast sounds creepy. Maybe he was going for Procast? But that wouldn't be accurate. The last thing I remember hearing on the show is a panel member saying that the Nets do not have a quality bench. And when given the reason, he mentioned the 6th and 7th player. Their bench is better than 3 teams starting 5!!!! I'm not a Nets fan either. It's just stupid, uninformed people on this show that aren't even funny. At least the bleacher report is sensible. Grantland needs an nba podcast once a week.
  • RemyZero
    Good Lord
Two weeks ago I would have praised this as the best NBA podcast in history. Then I listened to, literally, any other podcast and realised just how wrong I was. Lang makes the most disgusting noises into his microphone; snorting, smacking his lips and whatever other activities he does with his mouth. Moreover, the words that make it out between these incessent noises are of almost zero worth, unless it is some witty 'banter' that the pair find absolutely hilarious. No. For the love of god, at least edit this abomination before posting it to make it SLIGHTLY bearable. The guests are fantastic, but they always have terrible microphones making it almost impossible to enjoy their insight. Unedited, unrefined, undoubted crap.

    GREAT
    JUST AWSEOME GREAT INSIGHT
  • Pigbenis!
Solid as always, more episodes please!
I've been listening to the show for about a year and a half or so. While the audio is occasionally not the best since the hosts are basically teleconferencing from different cities, the content is great. The addition if Rick Fox has been awesome this year. All three offer great insight but it is always cool to hear it from a guy who has been there firsthand. Good job guys but it would be so much better to maybe do the show twice a week, that is the advantage other hoops podcasts have.
  • babarello40
    Broader coverage, please
I just started listening to this podcast. I like the banter and the perspectives, but I really thought the guys would cover more teams than they do. The most recent podcast was mostly about the Knicks, Lakers and the Heat. It's really a disservice to the league and the fans that the podcasters don't dig into more teams. Only passing mentions at the "quarter pole" to dominating teams like the Grizzlies, Thunder and the Spurs; or why the Nuggets are struggling. The Sixers. The Jazz. Even the Warriors (my team) got very superficial analysis, indicating that the commentators aren't paying very much attention. C'mon guys. Be better than the national media, look past the so-called super-powers and explore the breadth and depth of the league. It would make the podcast a lot more interesting and engaging. Thanks.

    One and Done
Was looking for an NBA podcast besides the ESPN one. Found this one. Filled with college football and boxing talk. I'll just go back to ESPN.
  • MeCarlos24
    Great!
Definitely a very addicting podcast, both Sekou and Lang are fantastic host, with interesting guests. The one problem is they are "ESPN" Esc as in very mainstream, the talk revolves around Miami, LA, and Boston. WHICH GETS VERY OLD!!
  • Old oly
Keep doing what you're doing hangtime!
Love the insight into the game, great guests, would recommend this podcast to any basketball fan. Sekou and Land provide great discussion and analysis! Keep up the great work guys!
  • Luis Santiago
It WAS better but it still good
Four star because of that mediocre of Lang Whitaker, he sounds bored and without interest so many times that makes me questioning myself why he's on the podcast in the first place and PLEASE PLEASE BRING VINCE THOMAS BACK!!!!!
  • Salahuddin15
    Solid
Different than NBA today bcuz it's once a week. It's more about big news and analysis. Sekou is cool. The co-host lang Whitaker is mediocre at best . Sometimes just annoying. He snorts. I liked the old co-host better. The young black guy I think his name was Vince. I dunno where he went but he was good.
